The workshop aims at addressing potentials and challenges in anticipatory humanitarian action. Several project examples will demonstrate how mechanisms and local capacities are built to implement early measures. Some aspects can be identified as prerequisites e.g. the quality of partners and collaborative processes. Additionally, further efforts such as financing mechanisms and knowledge management and transfer within networks will be discussed. The workshop focuses on the experiences and initiatives of the Germany´s Relief Coalition and the German Red Cross.
